Zusatztipps für die Zubereitung

For maximum flavor, lightly crush the lemongrass with the back of a knife before adding it to the pot. This helps release its essential oils. The kaffir lime leaves add an authentic citrusy aroma, but the soup will still be delicious without them if you can't find these ingredients. Remember to remove both before serving, as they're meant for flavor infusion only.

Varianten und Anpassungen

This versatile soup can be easily customized to your dietary needs. For a vegetarian version, substitute the chicken with firm tofu, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth, and replace fish sauce with soy sauce or tamari. Seafood lovers can swap chicken for shrimp or a mild white fish, adding them later in the cooking process as they require less time. For a heartier meal, add cooked rice noodles or serve over jasmine rice to soak up the flavorful broth.

Serviervorschläge
